Hakai no Tenshi
on the SP
Forum had another poetry contest, this time the form was
limeric. Limeric is a poem with stanzas of five lines and a
rather unique structure. Lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme, in anapestic
triameter, but with the third meter shortened to one syllable.
Lines 3 and 4 are a rhymed couplet, also in anapest,
but are only two meters long.
Once again, I was
awarded an Honorable Mention,
this time nabbing me a set of Bartuc's Cut-Throat claws for
my Assassin Kathryne, who I was playing at the time. It worked
out really well, as she was in Hell Act II and having some trouble.
With the Bartuc's, she ended up making Matriarch.

Akara said "Save Deckard Cain
"If alive, he is surely in pain"
Then she gives me some ring
And I'm like "What's this thing?"
She says "Something I found in the drain"
Later on, Charsi asks if I'd mind
Grabbing something that she'd left behind
She imbues me an item
Saying "This will help fight 'em"
I said "Woman, you're out of your mind!"
In the jungle, I find something old
Ormus gives me a ring made of gold
"Take this, if you would
"It does me no good"
And it's crap to me too, truth be told
From the ice, I save Anya, this girl
For a Barb, she can sure make heads twirl
A class item specific?
I just say "Oh, terrific
"Buy it back, quick, 'cause I'm gonna hurl!"
Maybe rares will be fixed in One-Ten
Even make them worth finding again
But the way they delay it
I'm sure no one will play it
We'll all be dead and buried by then!
